Flux V2 - The Ultimate Wingboard

After riding and really enjoying the Flux 84 for the past year, I felt ready to step down to a smaller board. The timing of the release of the Flux V2 was perfect. I went for the 60L. After just my first two sessions, I'm floored by the incredible combination of user friendliness and performance. I'm 82kg and the board planes in very little wind, and then skips off the water like a magic carpet! Once it's up, the smaller size is just so fun!!! The extra volume in the nose makes a noticeable difference in lighter wind starts, and the recessed deck brings a really connected feel to the foil once flying.

No problems at all stink bugging my first sinker board.

I’ve got the 96L Flux V2, what a beauty!

I got 3 sessions in, and I’m really happy with the board. It’s everything I hoped it would be.

I’m 46 years old and used to windsurf long ago. I’ve done most watersports and board sports, and a ton of competitive dinghy sailing.
I’m enjoying the beginner stage with about 15 sessions in total winging. Just nailing my jibes more consistently now. And now my learning curve is super steep with the new board! 

I was a bit hesitant that I ordered a size too large. But no, it’s perfect for what I want. I’m 75 kg without gear on. With all the winter gear on it floats me with a little to spare, but not by that much, perfect.

I prefer to be able to taxi to the wind line, and get back when it drops away, like it happened to me in my first session with the board. I’m not into jumping so I don’t get the sinking thing, but maybe thats me new to winging…

I never understood the weird rectangular doors used as boards for winging, and now finally with the mid lengths, boards are more natural and logically shaped, in my opinion. When I saw the supernatural, and now flux v2, I was convinced immediately that it was my board: elegant, enough liters, not too long, appletree construction. Yes, the emmisary or appletree skipper look even better, but they just get really long with around 90 L. Gotta fit it in the car too.

On the water and foiling it doesn’t feel large at all. Super direct feel, wonderful! The deck has a subtle recess, you can feel where your feet are placed, even with boots on.

The finish and details are immaculate. And trust me I’m very critical with a professional career as an industrial product designer.

The new Flux V2 96lt is truly amazing!
At 230lbs, this is a perfect fit for me on the lighter days.
It builds speed very efficiently while pumping and releases from the water with ease. With the extra volume and rocker in the nose, it brings the board to the surface in all conditions. I also love the recessed deck and the super wide deck pad too!
Going to ride this one for many years!

I've been bugging Greg for a long time about what board I should get and he not only has the patience of a saint, he gave me all the right information to make the right choice for what I was after. I ended up settling on the Flux V2 72 litre since I want a one board quiver for now for our local conditions here in Comox, for winging and now learning parawing.
I finally had a couple of days of wind here to try it out, though it was about as light as I'd ever go out in, maybe gusting to 15 in little puffs, which would have been absolutely hopeless on my old 70 litre board, even with my big 6.5m Unit.

I was not expecting such a massive upgrade from my old board.

It’s amazing the difference length, shape, and volume distribution can make in a board the same volume. Engineering and science vs "shaping". Night and day, so slippery and fast to get on foil, no pitching and sinking while on my knees. Such a better experience overall.
Even jumping, the landings just skip back onto foil.
It feels like I purchased skill, my foot switches are more clean and stable (less wobbly), and I can pump SO much better while riding waves, quick little hops are like hitting the gas pedal with solid transfer to the foil like I've never felt before. I'm already getting more sessions that last longer, I'm turning harder, taking more chances, and having a blast.

I got the 72 as a light wind wing option and travel board but its purpose has expanded over the last two years. Winging it in all conditions proved to be so fun and easy to use that I stopped using my sinker. It paddles really well so it’s handy as a travel board and prone board in a pinch; it just fits into my golf bag. I’m now learning to Parawing on it; not as tracky as a downwind board, but has plenty of stability and good efficiency, it’s been great for Parawing. It’s still in great shape after two years; I’ve only done one minor repair; it’s held up really well against our rocky launch spot and shuttle rides for going downwind. I’m a big fan!
