The Ultimate Wave Riding Instrument for Advanced Foilers

Although the Flux remains Omen's mainstay, for those with the experience and desire to push their connection with the ocean's energy even further - the smaller sizes of the Emissary deliver more for less.

Feel More Connected than Ever

Along with the obvious gain in length and reduction in width, the hull shape has been optimized for even greater efficiency at takeoff. While this comes at the cost of some of the incredible ease of use the Flux is known for, it provides the ability to further downsize your board without any loss of low end.

For wingers, the boards are designed to be ridden around 55% of bodyweight in kg and paired with a mid length for very light wind days or simply riders who surf foil or mountain bike when it's blowing 10 knots! Despite this, prepare for your crew to be shocked at just how light of wind you'll be getting on foil with such a small board.

Prone Foil Excellence: Work Less, Ride More

Dedicated prone foilers will find themselves sizing up a few liters from their standard board and enjoying the increased paddling speed. The construction and shape provide a responsive and nimble feel with smooth touchdown recovery at any angle of impact with the water. The wide point has been pushed further forward to make pop ups more stable than one would expect given the dimensions.

Confidence inspiring

The combination of touchdown recovery, responsiveness, and low centre of gravity during water starts will have you feeling like a hero in the wildest conditions.

Zero-rocker through the standing area of the deck and a slightly more aggressive concave than the Flux provides a comfortable and locked in feeling while riding strapless.

Despite the narrower hull design, careful dimensioning of the standing area along with a full coverage deck pad ensures heel and toe pressure is effectively translated into powerful signals to your foil.

Smooth Cross Over

Similar to the Flux, the Emissary is perfectly suited to both wing and prone foiling.

Our philosophy is that regardless of the power source used to get on foil, the parameters of a great wave foil board remain the same. So rather than a compromised design the Emissary is the perfect two in one.

Non-Linear Scaling

Each size has been engineered to fit a specific weight of rider, rather than the more versatile size range of the Flux. Those around or under 150lbs should consider the 35L, 140 - 190lbs the 44L, and 170 - 225lbs the 55L. The driving factor for the width of each board is to maintain just enough deck space for the ideal stance to ensure uncompromised control over high aspect foils during critical turns. For this reason, the rail shape at the top of the board has been sharpened and the deck pad extends as far out as possible.

For those familiar with the Flux, you can size down one level in the Emissary (60L -> 55L, 48L -> 44L, 40L -> 35L) for an all round performance improvement at the expense of a more demanding learning curve. The 55L is also an excellent all rounder/one board quiver for smaller riders.

Made in the EU

The Emissary is built to last. The Appletree factory in Portugal applies a full carbon layup over a CNC cut closed-cell foam core. Vacuum resin infusion technology is used to saturate the cloth and achieve the ideal fiber to resin ratio to optimize stiffness and durability.

This process is what allows Appletree to create a permanent bond to their proprietary foam core, and uniquely results in a board that will not be damaged by water ingress - even if the outer skin is damaged.

Along with their world renowned track reinforcing technology, the Emissary is a board you can rely on to maintain peak performance for years to come.

Game-Changer: The Emissary 55L

As an intermediate-to-advanced wing foiler, I was looking for a true one-board quiver to replace my Armstrong FG 60—something that could elevate my performance without compromising versatility. Enter the Omen Emissary 55L. After two months of owning and riding it in a wide range of conditions (12–30+ knots), I can confidently say it’s exceeded even my very high expectations.

I weigh 160 lbs, ride Armstrong HA880/1080 foils, and typically use wings from 2.5–5m. I was looking for the holy grail - a board that could do it all: light wind takeoff, high-end responsiveness, touch down recovery, carving power, rugged durability, and ease of use across changing conditions. The Emissary delivers on all fronts.

Low-end performance? Unreal. It gets up and flying with such minimal effort it feels like a cheat code—no more stress when the breeze backs off, and confidence inspiring to rig a smaller wing or foil.
Touchdowns? Soft, stable, and super forgiving.
Responsiveness? Crisp, direct, and ultra-refined. It carves and pumps beautifully, surfs swell with such control, and gives me the confidence to push boundaries.

I was initially torn between the 44L and 55L, but didn’t want to compromise low-end reliability. I’m glad I chose the 55L. At 5'6", it feels nimble and well-balanced and is incredibly agile for its length and volume. Whether I’m cruising in wind chop, carving through swell, or learning new maneuvers, this board has massively leveled up both my skills and my stoke.

A huge shoutout to Greg at Omen—he took the time to understand my goals and conditions, really considering my specific needs and skill level, and helped dial in the final decision. His support was just as outstanding as the board itself.

If I could give the Emissary 6 out of 5 stars, I would. I’ve owned and tested boards from a variety of top brands over the years, and I can’t imagine riding anything else now...It’s seriously that good.

Shifted from 48 L Flux to 55 L Emissary

At 185 lbs the 48 litre was a full on sinker and at 63 years old I didn’t like that I was getting tendinitis pumping it to the surface in iffy conditions (I only wing). I wanted to go up a little in volume but having ridden the 60 litre Flux I knew that was more board than I wanted. The 55 litre even tho still a sinker got me 15 lbs more floatation making formerly hard starts pretty easy. Taxi-ing onto foil is a jet take-off as the board pumps, glides and accelerates into the air. Touchdowns in hectic wave situations remain clean - no crazy bounce or deceleration which counts for a lot when situations are critical. I purchased an 85 litre mid length Armstrong specifically for flaky wind days to pair with the 48 litre but the 55 Emissary has in almost all conditions replaced both boards. And when I do completely run out of wind it paddles great prone.
End results - tendinitis is gone, I’m winging further to distant wave spots knowing I can get up easier, I have also gone down a wing size. I have a board which may turn out to be pretty much a single quiver, will see what the light summer winds brings... Zero regrets.

Love the Emissary!

Greg's sizing recommendations were spot on, I bought the 66L, slightly under my weight, I could have gone lower but needed to avoid a sinker since my regular spot can be very shallow. The board is barely sinking and surfaces pretty much right away. The low end is amazing, it just accelerates and allows me to ride smaller foils than before with the same wind.
The board is surprisingly stable considering the width, the transition from a 75L Sky Style was very natural and easy.
I love the reduced width, it allows more angle while carving or transitions without hitting the water.
It's also very efficient during touchdowns or breaches.
Construction is top notch.
So far the board is exactly what I was looking for, well done on the design!

Amazing boards!!

Purchased 35L & 55L. The smaller board has been a perfect “mid-length” prone board. Much prefer the lower volume at 35L than other mid lengths on the market- keeping the board thin and nimble. Bomber Apple tree construction and as stiff as they come. Very direct feel to the foil. Hull design pops up smooth and easy while deflecting water very well when rail makes contact on turns. Can’t find anything wrong with the board.

55L has been used primarily for winging. At 150lbs, it sits just under the surface of the water when standing. With the smallest gust, the board bobs up to the surface of the water quickly, then releases with ease. Amazing hull design, tail shape, and foam distribution throughout the board. When flying, the board surfs very well and feels smaller than you would imagine in the air. Responsive and nimble for its size. Cannot find anything wrong with this board, has replaced all of my other wing boards. Sure the cost is higher, but the construction gives me peace of mind to maintain its performance for many years to come.

Two board omen quiver beginner…

I started foiling this year to augment/overtake my time surfing. Bought a couple wings, a foil and an omen supermarine. Love that board but wanted to quickly progress and try winging something smaller (which I could also use prone). So at 80kg and about 50 total hours into my foiling journey spoke to Greg and made the plunge for a 55l emissary.

While it took more work to get going compared to the supermarine it was instantly apparent how responsive the smaller board is and ability to push through carving turns. To be fair my initial challenge wasnt even the board it was balancing a sinker while trying to get the wing up in the air. Once the wing was up in the air the board was instantly on plane, popped right up and off to the races. My foiling immediately improved in a single session because of a board. The emissary is such a fun board to foil. It gets up on plane and foil quickly, if I touchdown it comes right back up, and is just so responsive turning and pumping. I nailed almost ever single turn in my first session. If I do mess up carving around I can correct more easily and usually pump myself out of mistakes. Can’t wait to get this board on smaller and smaller foils and bigger and bigger swell.

So stoked on these boards and they cover everything I need starting my first year of foiling (3 months so far). I was initially apprehensive that learning on a supermarine may have been too big of a step and getting a sinker within my first few months may have be too quick. But I couldn’t have been more wrong or addicted.

Moving forward I suspect my two board quiver use will ultimately split on whether the wind is above or below 15 knots.
