The Flux has been refined for riders looking to progress their prone foiling or wingfoiling in waves. Due to the efficiency of the outline and hull design, expect to be able to ride a board of at least 25% smaller volume in the same conditions

The length combined with the wide nose & tail provides stability when paddling into a wave or getting up with a win while the low drag, semi-displacement hull makes for ultra easy takeoffs and smooth touchdown recoveries.

The design also provides extra lift when the board is submerged, meaning less force from the wing is required to get up to the surface in low power condition. The Flux truly is the best of both worlds, more low end in a higher performance package.

The large bevels and slim outline provide extra clearance at high bank angles, while the surfboard inspired rail geometry makes the arc of your turn is not thrown off if touched down.

The Flux range represents the culmination of years of tweaking, experimenting, and optimizing foil boards. Our partnership with Appletree Surfboards provides Omen access to the world’s top foilboard manufacturing. After multiple rounds of prototypes we’re confident the Flux will be your ticket to progression. Check out Tucker of Mackite's breakdown of the 60L Flux in his "Dream Quiver" Video, their 2023 Board Awards, The Lift Journal's review of the 36L as a prone board, and most importantly: rider feedback at the bottom of the page.

All sizes come standard with strap inserts, Y configuration up front and offset L&R options for your back foot. If you haven't tried an offset back foot strap yet, trust us on this one, it's better! Having more control and leverage over the board helps with both wave riding and landing jumps. It also provides more open deck space when riding switch to stay clear of the back strap when heading back upwind.

Included With Board

  • upgraded deckpad factory installed (2024)
  • stainless steel T30 torx hardware for strap inserts in box
  • black G10 mini fin in box

Non-Linear Scaling

Every size of the Flux excels in prone and wing foiling and is entirely focused on increasing the performance of intermediate and advanced riders. This is especially noticeable in the larger sizes whose shapes have not been compromised to suit beginners learning to wing.

Depending on rider weight and skill, each size fills a unique niche and has been designed accordingly. The smaller boards have a proportionally wider shape to provide sufficient deck space and volume. As the size increases, the outline is slimmed down, especially in the nose and tail. This reduces swing weight and aerodynamic drag while scaling the volume and length required to get up to foiling speed with less swell or wind energy.

Ergonomic Deck

The deck is comfortable and secure; zero-rocker and light concave through the standing area provide direct heel to toe pressure and a consistent feel when using any foil.

Touch down performance

Glide right through the most aggressive touchdowns with the Flux's hydrodynamic hull. Compared to other boards it barely feels like you've come off foil.

Made in the EU

The Flux is built to last. The Appletree factory in Portugal applies a full carbon layup over a CNC cut closed-cell foam core. Vacuum resin infusion technology is used to saturate the cloth and achieve the ideal fiber to resin ratio to optimize stiffness and durability. This process is what allows Appletree to create a permanent bond to their proprietary foam core, and uniquely results in a board that will not be damaged by water ingress - even if the outer skin is damaged. Along with their world renowned track reinforcing tech, the Flux is a board you can rely on to maintain peak performance for years to come.

Low Drag Handle

A mini fin provides a streamlined and lightweight handle for carrying the larger boards. The FCS system allows the fin to be reversed to provide two handle positions to balance a range of foil mounting positions.

An FCS II box and G10 fin come standard with every 60L, 72L, and 84L Flux.

60L Wow!!

After a few back and forths with Greg (excellent communication) I relunctantly went with a 60L Flux. Why reluctant? I just started winging this year (Gorge) and started on a 120L board, then down do a 90L where I've solidly advanced. I weigh 72kg and given my solid intermediate gains, I felt 72L was right. Greg assured me that 60L was well within my range. I was able to get on the board and up and running on my second try with a modified approach. Once you put any wind under the wing, the board leaps off the water! Now after several sessions, I am solidly a huge fan of the Flux! So efficient, fun and carvey! Next year, 48L!

48L Flux, confirming all the positive reviews

Absolutely love it, cannot fault one bit of the flux.
78kg rider, 48L board, coming from trying more than 10 other boards from 60L to 100L. I, too, was a bit nervous after buying the 48 instead of the 60L, but trusted the other reviews and gregs words about the board, and i am so pleased i bought the 48. Have been using it for prone, Winging in waves and a bit of jumping. Absolutely amazing.

Construction.
The board is incredibly well made, super strong, stiff and well finished. I have destroyed another cheaper EPS board recently that took on a lot of water while on a wing trip, so ruined a few days of my trip because of that, so i am stoked to have a closed cell foam board that is strong and reliable.

Take off.
As a sinker, this board is really magical on its take off... unlike any other board i have tried, my success rate is almost flawless, even in choppy-gusty-lowish-wind conditions. My thought process is, once i get it to the surface, i know for sure i will get on foil. rises up to the surface easy enough on knees, only need a small breeze, then something magical happens once it reaches the surface, it feels like the board and the water are two opposing magnets pushing away from eachother, it takes off almost instantly with no big effort pumping, very efficient hull design. stoked.

Ride.
A very intuitive, balanced and connected feel, first take off on prone the board felt like ive been riding it for a while, felt great and feet landed exactly in a balanced position.
Took me no time to find the sweet spot with foot straps and mast position. Foots straps being offset are great and naturally comfortable for riding stance. The touch downs are super buttery, and jump landings equally smooth, maintains great forward momentum.

Looks good, feels great and performs better. great board. Plan was eventually to get a 80ish L lightwind complimentary board, but ill just stick with this one for all conditions..

Flux 60l

This board is epic! I took my time to write this review because I wanted to use the Flux in different conditions. I am LOVING the board for three reasons:

1. Performance: The Flux feels efficient in the water, getting on the plane incredibly early, with hardly noticeable touchdowns, and turning like a dream. Coming from a surfing and kiting background the slightly longer and narrow shape feels natural, like a "real" board.

2. Construction: Carbon-epoxy infusion is state-of-the-art. Having taught composite technologies at university, I am very interested in these aspects. The Flux feels very crisp with a direct connection to the foil. An important benefit for me is that Omen boards are produced in Europe under European environmental and labor protection laws. I visited the factory in Portugal and was very impressed by the level of professionalism, attention to detail and also the waste recycling.

3. Customer Care: Greg took the time to personally answer all my tedious questions. He advised me to go for a board 30L under my body weight. I have tried many boards before and would have never gone that small, but his advice was spot on. The 60L Flux is now my daily driver. Apart from very marginal wind conditions (I am getting the 84L for those days), it has made everything so much easier: the small board paddles through the shore break effortlessly, is a dream in waves, and is very nimble to use. The personal advice from someone who designed and uses the board regularly was invaluable. The customer service stands apart from other companies.

60L Omen Flux for Prone and Downwind Foil Drive

I picked up my Omen 60L Flux about a week ago and I am beyond stoked! I don’t wing. I have been using this carbon wing/prone crossover board for prone foiling (Oregon coast) and downwinding (Columbia River Gorge), with Foil Drive. This board crushes and my progression as a near beginner has been nearly vertical! The efficiency of the hull design makes the board so good for prone and down winding translates super well to the FD. With FD foam in the channels, connectivity is great. Performance for turning, pumping and flying fast is superb! In hindsight, I probably could have gone even smaller and probably will. But the 60L feels so good, no need to size down. I weigh 180 Lbs and flat water and all other takeoffs are a snap. Stoked!! Thanks Omen!

An Awesome 60L Flux Foil Board

The 60L Flux foil board is a credible design with features that make a big improvement on both the foil ride and Foil Drive integration.
Its ability to plane early and get on foil is easily its greatest attribute. It’s lightweight (10.5 lbs.), flat hull and slight rocker contributes to this positive feature. This model also has foot straps inserts, and when foot strap inserts are added the board weight generally increases but Omen/Appletree found a way to build a 60L board, with long foil box tracks (14”), and foot strap inserts that is roughly 10 lbs. The board can easily get on foil in challenging conditions and is great to carve and turn hard because of is narrow profile. The extra foam around the back foot helps the rider plane easier and the extra foam in the nose bounces the board off the water and keeps me on foil longer and easier to recover from a touchdown.
When I add the Foil Drive Assist Plus kit to the board it is balanced and secured easily because of the location of many foot strap inserts and leash plug. I can easily attach the Foil Drive box to the deck with Velcro and tiedown cords to ensure the box is secured to the deck in the white water or after coming off foil.
I highly recommend this board for anyone looking for a great Mid-length foil board with inserts that easily gets on foil. I am a 47 year old rider, 180 lbs. using the Axis Spitfire foil range (900, 960, 1030) and the 1201 Art Pro.
