The Flux V2 is 100% dedicated to progressing your wave foiling. While the design philosophy and goals remained constant, every detail of the boards have been scrutinized, tweaked, and improved for greater low-end efficiency, responsiveness, and performance.

Even more so than the V1, expect to improve your light wind range while downsizing your board volume and feeling more connected than ever to your foil. The two years of computational fluid dynamics engineering that made the Emissary a standout with parawingers looking to ride smaller boards formed the starting point for the Flux V2 hull. From there, successive rounds of prototypes refined the ease of use to a point that will challenge what you thought possible from your wingboard.

The V2 maintains the effortless touchdown recovery of the V1 during straight on impacts, while the new tail shape and rails extend this to off angles - meaning you can ride right through rail digging turns. Refinements to the rail geometry also allowed us to increase the length of the boards without inducing any “tracking” behaviour - making it perfect for those looking to ride smaller, faster foils. The lowered deck, new volume distribution, and deep concave provide stability and a locked in, connected feel whether you are up on foil or working through your waterstart.

Rider Profile

50L and up are perfect for those looking for a high performance wingboard with maximize ease of use. The volume distribution increases fore and aft stability during waterstarts while the dropped deck keeps your centre of gravity low.

34 and 40L are intended for prone foilers and wingers looking for maximum responsiveness and low end out of their sinker board. The extra volume in the nose area works alongside the lift created by the submerged shape to drive the board up to the surface, increasing range in critical conditions.

While we still recommend the Emissary for dedicated parawingers, the significantly increased efficiency and ease of use of the Flux V2 makes the larger sizes an ideal choice as a crossover.

The deck is comfortable and secure; zero-rocker and a deep concave through the standing area provide direct heel to toe pressure and a consistent, locked in feel.

This efficiency and all around ease of use also makes it an excellent crossover to parawinging, prone foiling, and as a platform for e-assist.

Made in the EU

The Flux is built to last. The Appletree factory in Portugal applies a full carbon layup over a CNC cut closed-cell foam core. Vacuum resin infusion technology is used to saturate the cloth and achieve the ideal fiber to resin ratio to optimize stiffness and durability. This process is what allows Appletree to create a permanent bond to their proprietary foam core, and uniquely results in a board that will not be damaged by water ingress - even if the outer skin is damaged. Along with their world renowned track reinforcing tech, the Flux is a board you can rely on to maintain peak performance for years to come.

Low Drag Handle

A G10 mini fin provides a streamlined and lightweight handle for carrying the 60L and larger sizes. The FCS system allows the fin to be reversed to provide two handle positions to balance a range of foil mounting positions.

Leave it off if you prefer to carry your setup by the fuselage or have long enough arms to sling it around underarm like a shortboard.

Flux V2 ... Amazing

I've been bugging Greg for a long time about what board I should get and he not only has the patience of a saint, he gave me all the right information to make the right choice for what I was after. I ended up settling on the Flux V2 72 litre since I want a one board quiver for now for our local conditions here in Comox, for winging and now learning parawing.
I finally had a couple of days of wind here to try it out, though it was about as light as I'd ever go out in, maybe gusting to 15 in little puffs, which would have been absolutely hopeless on my old 70 litre board, even with my big 6.5m Unit.

I was not expecting such a massive upgrade from my old board.

It’s amazing the difference length, shape, and volume distribution can make in a board the same volume. Engineering and science vs "shaping". Night and day, so slippery and fast to get on foil, no pitching and sinking while on my knees. Such a better experience overall.
Even jumping, the landings just skip back onto foil.
It feels like I purchased skill, my foot switches are more clean and stable (less wobbly), and I can pump SO much better while riding waves, quick little hops are like hitting the gas pedal with solid transfer to the foil like I've never felt before. I'm already getting more sessions that last longer, I'm turning harder, taking more chances, and having a blast.

The 72 Flux Keeps Delivering after 2 years

I got the 72 as a light wind wing option and travel board but its purpose has expanded over the last two years. Winging it in all conditions proved to be so fun and easy to use that I stopped using my sinker. It paddles really well so it’s handy as a travel board and prone board in a pinch; it just fits into my golf bag. I’m now learning to Parawing on it; not as tracky as a downwind board, but has plenty of stability and good efficiency, it’s been great for Parawing. It’s still in great shape after two years; I’ve only done one minor repair; it’s held up really well against our rocky launch spot and shuttle rides for going downwind. I’m a big fan!

Flux 60L - A Lovely Board

I'm 82kgs and have come from a wider 80L board and I have just had my first session on my new Flux 60L. I was slightly worried so drove to a flat water spot to get the feel of the new board. Once the foil was fitted (SK8 1050) the board looked tiny on the beach! Out on the water I tried a 'stinkbug' start and found it a bit awkward so reverted to my knee start - the board was more stable (less exposed to chop) under the water than my previous board and I found it extremely easy to get going. The board accelerated much quicker and released almost immediately. Once up and running it felt like I could manoeuvre like I was on a much smaller foil - very connected. The smaller deck didn't seem to make any difference to gybes, tacks or while switching feet. Upwind the narrower board gave me a lot more clearance from the water and at no point did my rail catch when the chop got up. The board gave me instant confidence - there's no sketchiness at speed and I broke my PB speed without really trying. Touchdowns don't feel like touchdowns - there's almost no loss of speed or stability. Jumping is a breeze with the much lighter board although I've have to dial them in a bit to get them perfect. The front footstrap positioning will take a bit of adjustment but I liked the offset rear strap immediately - they're right on that point!
All in all a great board and one that gives you bags of confidence to try new things, go faster or bigger - very glad I made the leap!

One Board to Rule Them All

I’m one year in to my foil journey and had about 40 sessions complete when I upgraded from a wide stable starter board to my 72 liter Flux. In the 5 sessions that have followed, my abilities have taken a massive step forward. This board is approximately my body weight in kgs and I can still taxi a bit until a gust comes. It pops up on foil like a dream and touch downs are hardly noticeable. I love the surfy outline. The craftsmanship is remarkable; it’s a sexy stealth rocket. I’m now a lifetime Omen guy. Special shout out to Greg who is willing to go above and beyond to ensure the board is the right size for your capabilities and winging intentions.

48 Flux does it all!

I have had such a tremendous amount of fun on this board! I was wary about dropping volume and going for the 48l vs the 60l. Greg talked me into the 48 and I’m glad he did as this board is so efficient you really can lower your volume when selecting your size. I love it for Foil Driving and winging. Awesome to have a versatile board that does it all and looks as good as it feels while riding. Gotta love the bomber construction as well as I’m hard on gear. I’ve put it through the paces and after a plethora of sessions it’s still looking fresh! Would buy again.
