The Capacitor is Omen’s first board 100% dedicated to increasing your FoilDrive wave count and improving the ride experience. Starting from the already highly optimized Emissary hull design, we added a trench compatible with both the Max and Fusion systems as well as swapped out the carbon layup on the nose area for black s-glass to ensure flawless signal transmission for those who want to ride a low board volume to body weight ratio.

Expect to be able to size down at least 10L from other boards without reducing battery life due to the Capacitor’s extremely efficient semi-displacement design. Once up on foil, you’ll notice the board’s supernatural ability to recover from touchdowns at all angles along with the sensitive and overall refined feel.

For positioning the trench we worked with Beta testers to ensure there was enough room in the front for those who like to run their system far forward, without completely overdoing it with a super long trench. Going too large on the trench adds drag during touch downs and take off as well as reduces board volume that would otherwise be proving “free” buoyancy and drive to the surface during take offs. We believe the Capacitor’s trench location strikes the right aid balance between placement compatibility and performance.

For the same reasons we opted not to do a “super trench” and instead focus on making boards with the highest possible on water performance. While we understand the extra time to swap batteries is a downside of this decision, those who have ridden the Capacitor have all agreed that it’s worth it!

For riders looking for an all-around wing or parawing board that can also be used for Foil Drive, both our Emissary and Flux models perform very well provided the board’s volume is at least 50% of the rider’s weight kilograms. This allows for enough surface area of the board to to be above the waterline that the signal can find a path through the skin. For example, a rider who weighs 90kgs geared up should choose a board larger than 45L in our traditional construction or elect to use a trench board (of any size) for the ultimate in FoilDrive performance.

MORE FOR LESS

The Capacitor takes advantage of all the CFD work that went into making the Emissary the best wing and parawing board on the market.

Reducing hull drag to the absolute minimum means you can downsize your board and still use less battery during take offs and when taxiing on the surface.

DON'T BE HELD BACK

The shape of the rails allow water to release cleanly from the back of the board at a wide range of yaw angles.

Combined with hiding the FoilDrive unit in the trench, touchdown recoveries are clean and smooth whether heading straight down and wave or banking a hard turn.

The shape of the rails also makes the board much more user friendly during take-offs by inhibiting the "trackiness" typical of longer boards.

Confidence inspiring

The combination of touchdown recovery, responsiveness, and low centre of gravity during water starts will have you feeling like a hero in the wildest conditions.

Zero-rocker through the standing area of the deck and a subtle concave than the Flux provides a comfortable and locked in feeling while riding strapless.

Despite the narrower hull design, careful dimensioning of the standing area along with a full coverage deck pad ensures heel and toe pressure is effectively translated into powerful signals to your foil.

Made in the EU

The Emissary is built to last. The Appletree factory in Portugal applies a full carbon layup over a CNC cut closed-cell foam core. Vacuum resin infusion technology is used to saturate the cloth and achieve the ideal fiber to resin ratio to optimize stiffness and durability.

This process is what allows Appletree to create a permanent bond to their proprietary foam core, and uniquely results in a board that will not be damaged by water ingress - even if the outer skin is damaged.

Along with their world renowned track reinforcing technology, the Emissary is a board you can rely on to maintain peak performance for years to come.
